Kiwi Business Boost

Give your business a boost with free one-on-one expert sessions, workshops and inspiring stories from other small businesses.

We are delighted to announce the Institute of Certified NZ Bookkeepers has been invited to participate in a pilot initiative presented by business.govt.nz: The Kiwi Business Boost. 

The Kiwi Business Boost program aims to bring the private and public sectors together to offer businesses the chance to attend one-on-one expert sessions, participate in workshops and hear from other small businesses. Partners will include ourselves, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Hawke’s Bay Business Hub, Inland Revenue, Business Mentors NZ, NZBN and 30+ more.

Happening between 11 to 21 November 2019, The Kiwi Business Boostaims to reach as many small business owners as possible in Hawke’s Bay, with FREE events and support focusing on small businesses’ top challenges, including:

  • Getting started: Registering, planning, naming, research, structure, funding
  • Growth: Sales, innovation, grants, exporting, accessing finance, using digital technology
  • Sustainability and wellbeing: Environmental and social enterprise, mental health
  • Risks and operations: Health and safety, intellectual property
  • Cash flow: Understanding finances, tax and accounting
  • Staff: Hiring and retaining, leave and holidays, managing people, leadership
