Institute of Certified NZ Bookkeepers

Last night saw the winners announced for the MYOB and Xero awards of 2019.

Showcasing the talent of our individuals and businesses, we were proud to see many of our members listed as finalists in the bookkeeping categories.

Xero Awards 2019

Xero brought their Awards presentation back to New Zealand for the first time in six years and what an event it was. Held at The Opera House in Wellington, it was an opportunity to celebrate the role their accountants, bookkeepers and app partners play in helping Kiwi small businesses thrive.

Congratulations Bookkeepers NZ

The Bookkeeping Partner of the Year Award recognises the Xero bookkeeping partner who has used Xero to offer the best value-added service/s to their clients.

The winner of the category was one of our Accredited Bookkeeping Business members – Bookkeepers NZ, owned and operated by our Certified Members Di Ketel and Kelly Thomson.

Craig Hudson, Managing Director at Xero writes: “Having only started their journey with us late last year, we are excited to see Bookkeepers NZ take out this title. A logo of a pair of gumboots alongside a pair of red stiletto heels demonstrates their heavy commitment in both agri and small business finance. The team has also embraced the ecosystem and are innovative in the way they communicate to clients – we look forward to following their continued growth and development.”

Congratulations to the category finalists: Mary Moore from Businessmax, Lisa Martin and the team from GoFi8ure and Leaine Jones from Jones Business Solutions.  A special mention also to Haley Wilson from My 2 Cents Accounting who was highly commended in the category.
